Recently we hosted three Cruise ships to the Bay of Islands.

The Dawn Princess was followed on the same day as the Sun Princess.

The next day the Oosterdam arrived.

The Princess line passengers were awed by the size of the Ancient Kauri trees,

they age from seedlings to 1200 year old trees.

The Oosterdam passengers walk a trail with many different associations of forest.

They encounter Flora and Fauna undisturbed.

Our Fullday walk ,20 kilometers we encounter many different associations of forest

From regenerating forest to mature 1200year old Kauri Trees.

Agnes from the California USA was amazed at the fruit in the forest.

Bush Lawyer (Rubus cissoides) is a vine that climbs trees,it is very stout and thick.

It flowers September to November, then Fruits November to April.

At the moment the fruit is in abundance.

Puketi Forest birds have more fruit available through the predator control

This morning we Hosted the Australian Financiers Conference in the Puketi Forest.

They were met at the Entrance of the Manginagina Scenic Reserve Boardwalk

by owners of Adventure Puketi Ian & Barbara Candy.

Ian guided them ,all the while with a commentary of the wide range of Diversity

that exsists in the forests Flora and Fauna.

In the centre of the walk ,surrounded by huge fifty metre tall mature Kauri Trees,

nibbles and drinks were set up on a table. All the food and drinks were from local

award wining cheese makers and wineries.

The weather was awesome and Bird song lilted through the forest.

A fantastic way to spend a morning.
